Overcoming Nightmare

In this painting, I depict an Archangel submitting to a force that most of us would instinctively fight. The serpent represents the imposing giants of our lives: fear, agony, guilt, and ego.

The sword is planted, not raised. This is a visual reminder that we should not wage war against these feelings. They are experiences the mind has created for us. When you submit to the moment and let the feeling flow through you rather than resisting it, the result is transformative. It is the only way to reach a state of pure love.
